Over the last few years, some practitioners of so-called medical massage have implied it represents the highest level of our profession. First problem, in the U.S. most state laws say massage is NOT the practice of medicine. Many therapists have gone on blithely ignoring that...

Asthma is the most common chronic childhood illness.  More than five million children under the age of 18 are affected in the United States today.  Children suffering from asthma often miss 10 or more days of school annually.  Those with severe cases often miss up to 30 days per year.

Editor's Note from Beth Wisniewski: Childhood Asthma is the number 1 reason for kids in the United States to miss school and it accounts for millions of hospital visits each year. Research shows that breast feeding exclusively the first four to six months of life will dramatically decrease the risk of Asthma. If you, or your child, suffer with Asthma it is critical to eat a proper diet and have your spine regularly adjusted by a chiropractor. Spinal adjustments enhance the immune system's function and allow for the innate healing mechanisms of the body to work properly.

Editor's Note from Eden Kozlowski: This video is a short minute and just neat to watch. In the video's description, it explains, "This morning meditation session in a private, English-language medium school in India was filmed for several reasons. First, it provides an existence-proof of the possibility of using meditation with young people. Second, it intentionally depicts the substantial individual differences with regard to the engagement and absorption in this practice among different youth grades 3-10."

As I wrote about here, I believe medicine is a spiritual practice because practicing medicine is all about being vessels for Divine love, so we can facilitate the process of self-healing for our patients. But nobody ever taught me this in medical school. I learned it by merely being human. Because of my ability to be both human and a doctor, I have always practiced love, with a little medicine on the side...

Sacred Living

by Pete A. Sanders, Jr.

Metaphysical philosophers believed the seat of Psychic Vision was an area in the forehead. They called this the third eye. This forehead/third-eye region is in fact the Vision Psychic Reception Area. Many religions anoint or decorate that forehead area in baptismal or other blessing rituals. Many schools of meditation tell their students to focus their thoughts there and visualize an image or scene...

Editor's Note from Sophia Hansen: Pete Sanders, Jr.'s article does a wonderful job at making intuition applicable and no-nonsense.  He describes in biological terms how our physical vision has been fully developed through the years and our psychic vision hasn't.  He describes that our psychic vision is only dormant and all we need to do is reawaken it.  Mr. Sanders shares simple exercises that will help awaken your psychic vision to connect with your intuitive abilities "on command.

After the holiday season is over, many people suffer from depression. The fast pace to get presents, visit with family, send our cards and get school and work business done keeps the depression at bay. However, returning to work and school, dealing with the family issues which surfaced over the holidays and facing the winter blues can be very depressing...

Editor's Note from Elizabeth Wolfson: This timely article by a psychotherapist and author who also specializes in sex therapy,  speaks to the challenge of post-holiday winter depression as it affects the general as well as gay and lesbian population.

That day, so long ago, that I rushed home from school to ask my mother for the blue dress knowing that I would sell my brothers and sisters to the Russians just to own it.

There was going to be a special program at church Saturday night, and Don the Dreamboat was taking me. I wanted to look as beautiful on the outside as I felt on the inside when he looked at me. I was convinced I needed that special blue dress to show him how pretty I could be on the outside...
