Interviewed by Rebecca McClary, MA, MT-BC
J.K. Simmons is a prolific and well-loved actor, known for his authoritarian and fatherly roles on both television and the silver screen. You'll know him as Mac MacGuff, the father of Juno, the delightfully humorous and confused pregnant teen; J. Jonah Jameson in the thrilling Spider-Man movies; Chief Will Pope in The Closer and Dr. Emil Skoda in Law & Order, among many others. J.K. now appears in the movie THE MUSIC NEVER STOPPED, playing the role of Henry Sawyer, a father who was estranged from his son Gabriel (played by Lou Pucci) for 18 years, only to discover that Gabriel has a brain tumor and in his mind lives only in the psychedelic days of the 1960's. Music separated father and son in the past, but now, with the help of Music Therapist, Dr. Dianne Daly (played by Julia Ormond), music becomes the healing bridge in their relationship.
Join ATH's own Music Therapist, Rebecca McClary and J.K. Simmons as they explore the importance of music in this profoundly moving, healing journey...
