Editor's Note: Somehow making raw food snacks always used to strike me as difficult... and suddenly there I was in Whole Foods, shelling out 8 bucks for a handful of dehydrated kale chips. The ingredients are inexpensive if you simply have the recipe. If you also love those raw flax-veggie crackers but you want the how-to to be nice and easy this vid is for you! Get a nice dose of fiber, minerals and healthy fats and use up the extra veggies and seeds in your kitchen. These go nicely with your favorite dip.

Yesterday I decided to play with my chocolate for breakfast smoothie. I think I shocked a few of my fans when I posted this photo on my fan page. But seriously? It’s a delicious way to go green. If you’re new to my chocolate for breakfast world, I’m a self-professed chocolate aficionado...

Editor's Note: I LOVE my breakfast smoothies and I'm totally going to have to add this one to my repertoire. How can you go wrong when you start your day with chocolate? But don't let the recipe fool you - it's super- nutritious too!

Editor's Note: As we transition from spring to summer there are all kinds of things popping up at the farmer's market that look delish. As I start to break out all of my summer recipes I think I will be adding this squash soup with basil to them.

Now that it’s officially fall in Pittsburgh, I can start to post about soups. At least, post about them without feeling like a weirdo for wanting soup in 90+ degree weather. Which, really. Who does that?...

Editor's Note: Emily is a fabulous health coach from Pittsburgh, PA. She's got a fabulous newsletter that you can get for free by email if you visit her website. This soup looks amazing, and I may just have to cook up a pot this weekend.

Editor's Note: A friend of mine sent me this recipe saying that she topped it with fresh fruit and it was to die for. I plan on trying them this weekend topped with peanut or almond butter for some extra protein. Also, I am going to do half wheat and half oat flour as well as add some ground up flax for some extra omegas...

Editor's Note: As I get closer and closer to taking the gluten free plunge I'm rapidly stock piling recipes for when I start craving things like pizza and other foods with wheat. That way I am prepared when temptation arises and its easier for me to stick to it. I plan on trying this crust recipe this weekend with some of the veggies I just picked out of the garden.

I love bruschetta. Toasted bread with a savory topping amounts to the perfect snack in my opinion. Serve up this sophisticated appetizer for finger food with flair...

Editor's Note: I know that we aren't quite into pepper season, but as I said before I want to give everyone a few ideas on yummy, healthy things to add to your traditional spring and summer get together recipes.

Blueberries are extremely rich in antioxidants. The dark purple pigment in blueberries contain a phytonutrient known as anthocyanin. This helps reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol. Anthocyanin also enhances the vitamin C content of the berry and helps strengthen cardiovascular health, cancer and diabetes among others...

Ya’ll probably know that when I post a recipe, it’s going to be ‘my’ version of the dish.  No, I might not adhere to the strict guidelines of what ingredients a normally in the dish, but I can assure you that whatever I usually boho, it’s a yummy version of the original...

Editor's Note: Everybody can cook chicken, but we are always looking for different ways to cook it and this is a nice change. Ally has some great different recipes and a great facebook page with a collection of interesting recipes.
