AK is a diagnostic system which evaluates health needs using neurological muscle tests. Learn about the wonderful benefits of chiropractic applied kinesiology through chiropractic news & information. All Things Healing has editors that provide useful information about applied kinesiology chiropractics. Spiritual & Healing Practices: Chiropractic & Applied Kinesiology - Beyond conventional healing methods, there are different healing practices that chiropractors use to treat diseases. The Applied Kinesiology chiropractic method is of the various techniques chiropractors use in diagnosing health problems, especially those related to the muscles. Since chiropractors mainly focus on the musculoskeletal system, the treatments associated with it also deal with muscular issues. Chiropractic applied kinesiology, for one, involves manual muscle testing to evaluate the functional status of the body. Here, the three aspects of health are observed: the structural, chemical and mental. The applied kinesiology chiropractic technique is based on the premise that every organ dysfunction is related to a weakness in a specific corresponding muscle. When you visit your chiropractor and undergo chiropractic applied kinesiology method, your chiropractor will apply force to each target muscle or muscle group, and you’ll be asked to resist that force, during which the response of your muscles will be evaluated. An absence of smooth response usually means there is a problem or imbalance in the body. Such imbalance in the body is corrected using manual pressure on the specific muscle. Other kinds of treatments may also be employed alongside it such as joint manipulation and mobilization, clinical nutrition, dietary counseling and myofascial, cranial and meridian therapies. A generous amount of chiropractic information states that applied kinesiology is used as an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to healthcare. In fact, chiropractors are not the only ones who employ such healing practice; other professionals such as naturopaths, medical doctors, dentists, nutritionists, physical therapists, massage therapists, and nurse practitioners use it too. According to chiropractic news, applied kinesiology is also based on the philosophies of other holistic therapies, such as osteopathy, meridian therapy, and physical manipulation.

This "disease" most commonly occurs in boys aged 10-18, though girls can have it too. It occurs when the area where the patella (knee) tendon attaches to the tibia (lower leg) bone is under too much stress and becomes inflamed or it pulls so hard on the insertion at the bone that it actually ruptures. This pain, as common as it is especially during a child's growth spurt, is very unnecessary...

Halloween embodies those things that scare us most—creepy characters, dark corners and the unknown—but what we should be most scared of is something that many of us happily embrace: Halloween candy. Editor's note from Elizabeth Wisniewski: Trick or treat? Most candy is actually tricking you. Toxic chemicals and dyes are hiding inside of it. Keep your children safe this Halloween and get educated on the dangerous ingredients in your candy.

You don’t have to be a health care professional, a doctor, a philosopher, or even a scientist to know that our body is an amazing organism. Just think….. one sperm, one ovum meet, dividing into 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 …… and over the course of the next 9 months the most amazing miracle known to man is growing, changing, adapting, specializing cells, and bringing LIFE to another human being...

Editor´s Note from Abbey Denaro: As Dr. Tate Gentile says in his article, we are all taught two main principles growing up: Don't do drugs and don't call people names. Unfortunately, the medical culture does not follow these rules. If these principles are important to you and your family, there are better options out there.

Based on the physiology of the nervous system, we know that chiropractic works for more than just back pain. The Chiropractic adjustment can have profound effects on quality of life by improving the function of all body systems. Knowing this, shouldn’t every person be allowed access to chiropractic care regardless of symptoms, age, and culture?

Editor's Note from Beth Wisniewski: Today, the state of mental health care in the United States is extremely poor. Chiropractic has a rich history in the mental health arena and had high success rates in the past. On top of receiving chiropractic adjustments the mental health patients were required to eat fresh foods grown in gardens on-site. By the early 1960s these facilities were forced to close due to changing laws however it is time to reexamine our approach to mental health in this country. Chiropractic should be part of a holistic approach to better serve this under served population.
