All Things Healing has editors that provide useful information about applied kinesiology chiropractics. Spiritual & Healing Practices: Chiropractic & Applied Kinesiology - Beyond conventional healing methods, there are different healing practices that chiropractors use to treat diseases. The Applied Kinesiology chiropractic method is of the various techniques chiropractors use in diagnosing health problems, especially those related to the muscles. Since chiropractors mainly focus on the musculoskeletal system, the treatments associated with it also deal with muscular issues. Chiropractic applied kinesiology, for one, involves manual muscle testing to evaluate the functional status of the body. Here, the three aspects of health are observed: the structural, chemical and mental. The applied kinesiology chiropractic technique is based on the premise that every organ dysfunction is related to a weakness in a specific corresponding muscle. When you visit your chiropractor and undergo chiropractic applied kinesiology method, your chiropractor will apply force to each target muscle or muscle group, and you’ll be asked to resist that force, during which the response of your muscles will be evaluated. An absence of smooth response usually means there is a problem or imbalance in the body. Such imbalance in the body is corrected using manual pressure on the specific muscle. Other kinds of treatments may also be employed alongside it such as joint manipulation and mobilization, clinical nutrition, dietary counseling and myofascial, cranial and meridian therapies. A generous amount of chiropractic information states that applied kinesiology is used as an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to healthcare. In fact, chiropractors are not the only ones who employ such healing practice; other professionals such as naturopaths, medical doctors, dentists, nutritionists, physical therapists, massage therapists, and nurse practitioners use it too. According to chiropractic news, applied kinesiology is also based on the philosophies of other holistic therapies, such as osteopathy, meridian therapy, and physical manipulation.

Editor´s Note from Abbey Denaro: Some may ask, "What's the big deal with Chiropractic?" The big deal is that Chiropractors work towards a big idea. This is an idea that is larger than just a few people in a community who "get it". This is an idea that strives to step up the physical and mental welfare of all humans and rebuild the thoughts and actions of the world.

The prescription and use of orthotics is a hot topic. Some physicians don’t appreciate that fact that I think orthotics are expensive pieces of carbon graphite, neoprene, and other material that most often serve as a disservice to the patient. My stance on orthotics is such due to how I evaluate, treat, and manage patients. It is a 100 percent holistic approach...

Editor's Note from Dr. Jeffery Tucker: In this article by Dr. Stephen Gangemi, he discusses his belief that foot orthotics are not natural and are not well understood by doctors and patients. He challenges mainstream medical thought that it is beneficial to control the feet with orthotics. Many doctors feel that the feet are the starting point of a body that's out of balance and that by using an orthotic it can help everything from the feet all the way up to a patient's neck. Dr. Gangemi is all about whole body care and functional therapy. I think you'll like his ideas and approach to patient care. I'll try to be fair and in a future article include the viewpoint of foot orthotics for biomechanical improvement.

Just like the start of an AA meeting, and with much respect for how they start their meetings, here it goes: I am Dr. Leslie Hewitt and I am a member of the CCA. The California Chiropractic Association is the organization I have decided to step up and assist with leadership as the new Chair of Conventions and Seminars...

Editor's Note from Beth Wisniewski: First find your inner "ROR" and then you will increase your Return On Relationships, in every aspect of your life. Dr. Hewitt discusses why she is involved in the California Chiropractic Association in this article. Taken from a more global view, it is truly a call to action for everybody to get involved and give back in whatever capacity they feel comfortable in. From Dr. Jeffery Tucker: Tim Tyler, PT, ATC, developed an effective exercise treatment for tennis elbow. The Flex Bar is a flexible rubber bar (made by Thera-band) that offers a practical way to overload the wrist extensors to provide tennis elbow sufferers with the same benefits as isolated eccentric training done with expensive devices or heavy weights. Chiropractors can provide therapy for tennis elbow and teach you how to perform the “Tyler Twist” - the isolated eccentric wrist-extensor strengthening exercise designed to overload the muscles.  Consult your doctor of chiropractic to find out more...
