All Things Healing has editors that provide useful information about applied kinesiology chiropractics. Spiritual & Healing Practices: Chiropractic & Applied Kinesiology - Beyond conventional healing methods, there are different healing practices that chiropractors use to treat diseases. The Applied Kinesiology chiropractic method is of the various techniques chiropractors use in diagnosing health problems, especially those related to the muscles. Since chiropractors mainly focus on the musculoskeletal system, the treatments associated with it also deal with muscular issues. Chiropractic applied kinesiology, for one, involves manual muscle testing to evaluate the functional status of the body. Here, the three aspects of health are observed: the structural, chemical and mental. The applied kinesiology chiropractic technique is based on the premise that every organ dysfunction is related to a weakness in a specific corresponding muscle. When you visit your chiropractor and undergo chiropractic applied kinesiology method, your chiropractor will apply force to each target muscle or muscle group, and you’ll be asked to resist that force, during which the response of your muscles will be evaluated. An absence of smooth response usually means there is a problem or imbalance in the body. Such imbalance in the body is corrected using manual pressure on the specific muscle. Other kinds of treatments may also be employed alongside it such as joint manipulation and mobilization, clinical nutrition, dietary counseling and myofascial, cranial and meridian therapies. A generous amount of chiropractic information states that applied kinesiology is used as an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to healthcare. In fact, chiropractors are not the only ones who employ such healing practice; other professionals such as naturopaths, medical doctors, dentists, nutritionists, physical therapists, massage therapists, and nurse practitioners use it too. According to chiropractic news, applied kinesiology is also based on the philosophies of other holistic therapies, such as osteopathy, meridian therapy, and physical manipulation.

Upper cervical chiropractic has been shown to assist with dozens of ailments ranging from back pain and fibromyalgia to headaches and sleeping disorders. The gentle, nonintrusive adjustments made by an upper cervical chiropractor allow the body to realign and assist itself. Standard chiropractors tend to use more moderate pressure and different techniques, but both forms of chiropractic care are considered alternatives to standard medical practices.

Editor's note from Elizabeth Wisniewski: Chiropractic care along with massage therapy is an effective way to promote self healing in the body. This article describes how these two natural healing professions can work together as a conservative health care option that is both safe and highly effective.

Premum non nocere. Every health care professional knows this phrase well – first do no harm. Unfortunately, most health care professionals and even consumers don’t realize or consider that the current health care system can cause enough harm to outweigh the overall benefit that health care provides.

From personal experience I understand back pain. I've dealt with an unstable lower lumbar region and the consequence...on/off back pain, for the past twenty years. I have come to understand exactly what happens when we feel pain in the spine. I've learned through managing my own condition and treating thousands of sufferers in my Chiropractic Rehab practice – for nearly three decades – that when it comes to low back pain and treatment "One size does not fit all."

Editor's Note from Dr. Jeffrey Tucker: Laser therapy is becoming part of mainstream medicine, because of strong scientific evidence.  It's simple - laser helps tissue regeneration and enhances healing and has anti-inflammatory effects...

A new study from American Cancer Society researchers finds it’s not just how much physical activity you get, but how much time you spend sitting that can affect your risk of death. Researchers say time spent sitting was independently associated with total mortality, regardless of physical activity level...

Most women are under the impression that pregnancy is a nine-month time frame dedicated to sacrificing your body in order to give new life. Of course it is true that, in the end, those nine months will certainly be worth the pain – but what if you could spend that time enjoying your life and embracing the experience of life within you, rather than wishing the time away?...

Editor´s Note from Abbey Denaro: Between 50-80% of all pregnant women experience back pain. Just because it is common, does not mean that it is normal and acceptable to be in such pain. More and more soon-to-be-mom’s are seeking chiropractic care to prevent pain and optimize their body’s functioning for the benefit of the growing baby.

Sciatica is a symptom more than a condition, as it refers to pain which refers down the back of the legs, rather than to the cause of the pain. The cause of Sciatica can be from the lumbar spine, where a disc is irritated and is compressing the sciatic nerve, or this compression can occur at the point where the sciatic nerve passes under (or through in some cases) the piriformis muscles in the buttocks...

Unfortunately many patients are at the mercy of their physicians who only know, well, what they know. They know no natural method of fighting inflammation and most do not understand that inflammation can be blocked by means other than medications.

Editor's Note from Dr. Jeffery Tucker: Neck pain combined with shoulder pain is a common problem among desk workers, particularly those using a desktop computer. Lars Andersen PhD and his colleagues in Copenhagen, Denmark, completed a randomized controlled trial of 198 office workers with neck/shoulder pain and tenderness to palpation. The researchers wanted to develop an “exercise program as simple and feasible as possible...”

Halloween embodies those things that scare us most—creepy characters, dark corners and the unknown—but what we should be most scared of is something that many of us happily embrace: Halloween candy. We are embarking on that time of year where one food-saturated holiday bleeds into another, and to kick them all off, we have Halloween, which promises an excess of sugar-heavy treats that contain a plethora of ingredients you really don’t want to put into your body...

Editor's note from Elizabeth Wisniewski: Trick or treat? Most candy is actually tricking you. Toxic chemicals and dyes are hiding inside of it. Keep your children safe this Halloween and get educated on the dangerous ingredients in your candy.

Editor's Note from Dr. Jeffery Tucker: Plawecki and Chapman-Novakofski set out to determine the impact of dietary, supplemental, and educational interventions over the last 10 years about osteoporosis and reached their conclusions after reviewing 219 articles in scientific journals...
