Dr. Elizabeth Wisniewski became interested in chiropractic after she completed her undergraduate studies. Her family chiropractor encouraged her to attend chiropractic school and she has never looked back! Through chiropractic, Dr. Elizabeth found her true calling, where her hands serve an even greater purpose than her eyes ever could.

The philosophy of the 100 Year Lifestyle is that each person deserves to live a healthy life and express their full potential from the moment they are born, until their last breath of life. Dr. Elizabeth is dedicated to cultivating vitalism in the Santa Barbara community through providing the highest quality chiropractic care and collaborating with other health professionals and community leaders to optimize the health of the community. She believes that true health comes from balance of mind, body, spirit and planet.

As a chiropractor, Drs. Elizabeth knows that the nervous system is how people experience the world, from tasting local, organic food to hearing waves crash into the beach. The nervous system is how the mind perceives the world. When there is interference in the nervous system due to a spinal subluxation (misalignment), communication between the brain and body is decreased. Specific chiropractic adjustments remove nervous system interference and allow for optimal communication between the brain and body. This allows for the highest life expression and health for the body, mind, spirit, and ultimately, planet.

Dr. Elizabeth is available for speaking engagements, guest blogging, and 100 Year Lifestyle chiropractic care in Santa Barbara. You may visit her webpage at www.genuinechiro.com or read her blog at cultivatingvitalism.blogspot.com

About Abbey Denaro, DC, BS, CPT
Co-Editor of Chiropractic

Abbey’s experience with Chiropractic began after spending a full year of unsuccessful visits to specialists for TMJ dysfunction of the jaw. She was referred to a chiropractor and decided to give it a try.  After just three visits of working on her jaw and adjusting her spine, she noticed a dramatic difference. The headaches that she would suffer with a few times a week were gone completely and she could finally eat without pain! Even though her pain symptoms were eliminated, she knew that Chiropractic was something special and her body was benefiting greatly from it.
At that time, Abbey was an Exercise Physiology major at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. After talking with her chiropractor about how to become a Doctor of Chiropractic, her plans for graduate school changed and she has never looked back! Pursuing Chiropractic was the obvious option for Abbey - It had helped her live a pain-free life and opened her eyes to holistic health. She knew that helping others in that same way was her calling. Throughout her education and personal experiences, Abbey became aware and appreciative of the power that our own bodies have to heal and how Chiropractic care assists the body to express optimal health.
Abbey is in the process of completing the Diplomate program through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and specializes in Prenatal and Pediatric care.  She is certified in the chiropractic technique, Webster Technique, for pregnant women to help balance the pelvis and create ample space for the fetus and prevent breech presentations. She works closely with midwives and doulas to provide the best possible care and education for women during what can potentially be the most amazing time in their lives.
Abbey’s mission is to use her calming and nurturing energy to inspire all members of her community, regardless of age, to take charge of their own health and live lives that create wellness now and wellness into healthy aging.
