More About Lexi Yoga
Co-Editor on Yoga

Lexi Yoga has been practicing yoga for many years and always felt amazing after taking a class, as her body and mind would become so calm and relaxed. That's how she got hooked. She had a stressful job in marketing/advertising, so yoga was her solution to handle the intensity. She also noticed amazing health benefits along the way. She would sleep better and acquire more self-awareness. That led her to quit her job and pursue a life in the yoga and health industry.

She took the 250-hour Yoga Teachers Training Course in Toronto, which she enjoyed very much. She would definitely recommend individuals who have an interest in yoga to take it further and learn more about the biological and spiritual aspects of yoga.

With the great personal practice, natural lifestyle, knowledge and interest in yoga, she decided to combine it all into a unique website and share it with the world. As of April 3, 2009, LexiYoga.com was launched as a informative and fun yoga site. Its main focus is to balance the mind, body and spirit through the practice of yoga and natural living.

These days, she continues to practice yoga almost daily, as it's become a big part of her life. She also teaches yoga, and does instructional videos on YouTube. Her goal is to teach the world her knowledge and promote the healing powers of yoga.

"When the breath wanders the mind is also unsteady. But when the breath is calmed the mind too will be still, and the yogi achieves long life. Therefore, one should learn to control the breath.”
~Hatha Yoga Pradipika

About Brooke Nisbet, MA
Co-Editor on Yoga

After having spent 11 years (of her 17 year career in education) in Japan, Brooke recently resigned from her position as an educator. She felt the call to return to the United States, not only to spend time with family and close friends, but to pursue passions that will bring her deeper fulfillment and purpose, while helping her to continue on her spiritual path & in her personal growth.

Upon completing her yoga teacher training journey (which took place over a course of 3 intense weeks in the spiritual land of Bali, Indonesia), Brooke was excited to finally have become a 200 hour certified yoga instructor. She has been studying and practicing yoga for over 7 years. Over the past 17 years, she has pursued a variety of other wellness roles such as: group fitness instructor and personal trainer. During this time, she was an aerobics & fitness instructor in Atlanta, and in Japan on US Military installations, as well. Additionally, the studies of natural healing, mind-body connection and “clean eating” have also been her personal pursuits. She has practiced a variety of yoga styles in Japan, the US and Bali. Vinyasa Flow is her style of choice and in which she received her certification, but she has practiced Power Yoga, Power Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Hatha, Restorative, and Iyengar Yoga, to name a few. In addition to being a certified yoga instructor, she has also completed Reiki Energy Healing Levels I and II.

Brooke holds a BA in Psychology and a MA in Early Childhood Education. Until September 2012, she lived and worked in Japan for eleven years as an educator & curriculum specialist for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools Overseas. During this time, Brooke taught at an elementary school on an army base and also had the privilege of traveling to all of the U.S. military base elementary schools in Japan to train and assist classroom teachers. She feels grateful to have had the opportunity to work with a very special population...the children of our service men and women.

"When you become comfortable with uncertainty, infinite possibilities open up in your life. It means fear is no longer a dominant factor in what you do and no longer prevents you from taking action to initiate change." ~Eckhart Tolle
