More about Matthew Welsh
Co-Editor of Film/Video
Matthew Welsh is a pioneer in conscious media and spiritual entertainment. After graduating from law school, Matthew moved to Hollywood to work at a talent and literary agency, the William Morris Agency. While working in Hollywood, he realized that there were a lot of spiritual movies, TV shows and programs being made that were not getting the attention they deserved. This experience drove him to create Spiritual Media Blog to raise awareness for emerging conscious entertainment and provide pro bono consulting services to various non-profit organizations. Matthew has served as a volunteer film reviewer for the Heartland Film Festival, an entertainment consultant for the International Interfaith Initiative, and Board Member for the Peace Learning Center.
Matthew has given motivational presentations across the country on this topic and on how you can turn your passion into your career path to venues ranging from the San Diego Convention Center, University of Notre Dame and the non-profit organization Professional Women’s Group for Dress for Success Worldwide. He has appeared on international media outlets including CBS Radio, Conscious Content TV and in film for the Spiritual Cinema Circle.
He is also the author of The Bottom Line, a novel about a guy in college learning how to overcome the male ego.

About Ellen Mahoney
Co-Editor of Film/Video
A great deal of my time is spent working as a reporter in Boulder, Colorado. I enjoy exploring topics and interviewing others to find out what is important about their lives and what is most important to share. I also write for the national edition of Natural Awakenings Magazine where I've had the honor to interview and write about individuals such as activist Jim Hightower, physician Dr. Christiane Northrup, food activist Michael Pollan and spiritual author Shakti Gawain. I've always wanted to be a writer and have pursued this throughout my career. For many years previously in Los Angeles, I was very involved in the entertainment industry also as a writer where I worked for Disney, Columbia Pictures, MCA/Universal and LucasArts.
I grew up with a father who worked at Eastman Kodak Company, so visuals, photographs and film have always been a big part of my life. I remember as a child we would watch a film sponsored by Kodak once a month that depicted a different culture. This was so important for my life in helping me understand others. Today I enjoy taking photos to accompany my newspaper articles and create inspirational greeting cards. Currently I am taking A Course in Miracles.
