More about Kath Bartlett, MS, LAc

Kath Bartlett
, MSTOM, Licensed Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Herbalist has been practicing in Asheville, NC since 2001 and has given thousands of acupuncture treatments. Bartlett studied in the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) style at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine–known for its academic
rigor and excellence of her programs, and for her strength in Chinese Herbology and western sciences.

This background enabled Bartlett to develop her skills as a TCM herbalist. Visitors marvel at her raw and granulated pharmacies in her clinic. Bartlett compounds custom formulas while her patients receive their acupuncture treatments. In 2007 Bartlett began studying acupuncture with Dr. Richard Tan of San Diego, CA. Tan has created a meridian based acupuncture system called the
Balance Method which is highly effective for internal and external conditions, but particularly well known in treatment of pain. Pain is relieved immediately on the acupuncture table, during the first treatment. This is exciting for both the patient and the practitioner. Bartlett uses the winning combination of acupuncture and herbs to treat 95% of her patients. The individualized herbal formulas enhance the effects of the Balance Method acupuncture treatments.

Bartlett enjoys writing, and began publishing articles about Chinese Medicine in local papers in Asheville upon her arrival there in 2001. With the growth of the internet she is now published in many web magazines and blogs, including her own,
Cultivating Health with Chinese Medicine.

Bartlett is available for herbal and case consultations for both practitioners and patients. If you have a difficult case and would like Bartlett to weigh in or develop individualized Chinese herbal formulas, contact her office,
Bartlett Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine.

Bartlett has developed
Flying Dragon Liniment for muscle and joint pain relief, and period pain. This artisan oil-based liniment is hand made by a local herbalist in Asheville, using a traditional traumatology formula that warms and moves qi and blood in the channels and dispels damp fluids accumulation, which cause inflammation. It treats Wind, Damp, Cold Painful Obstruction using organic oils and is packaged in an eco-friendly, glass bottle. It’s quite effective for pain relief: patients and practitioners love it.
