About Michelle Cordani, CHP, AADP
Asst. Editor of Healing Recipes
Michelle also has her associate degree in Business and worked as Vice President of sales in a family owned Meat Purveying business for 18 years before creating Pure Intentions. She is a mother of 3 beautiful boys and with the birth of her 3rd son her whole world changed. Christopher was born with severe food allergies. Traditional medicine did not work for Christopher. He could not be placed in a category. His body needed what worked for him not what worked for everyone else. Bio individuality was key. The world of Alternative medicine was what worked for him. She found herself in a grocery store not knowing what she could trust to feed him or what alternative foods he could even eat. She vowed when she solved it she would help others to do the same. As a result of that Pure Intentions was born. In the beginning my learning was self taught. I learned to read beyond a food label, which meant it was learning what every word in that label meant. Not the grams, sodium, carbohydrates of something, but the big words in the ingredients list. The integrity of a product is what is just as important.
Today Michelle helps her clients with food sensitivities, the person who wants to learn eat healthier, to stop counting calories or points. As well as someone with chronic diseases who is open to really exploring the root causes not the quick fix. Corporate wellness is another passion of hers. She likes to go into a company and show them how to get their productivity up, better employee focus, less sick days and cheaper insurance rates. Last but not least, she loves public speaking where she can share her excitement for health and wellness. How nutrition and good health can be fun, easy and taste good.
“Sickness doesn’t happen overnight and wellness doesn’t happen overnight”(Andrea Beaman). Life is a journey and we are the destiny of that journey. We are a society of the quick fix, but what we do not stop to think about is how long it took you to get to where you are. Let Food be thy medicine. Our bodies are made to heal themselves if we give it what it needs. Michelle Cordani considers herself a Food label” Guru “. As well as feels that food is not the only thing making Americans sick. She si board certified in Integrative Holistic nutrition from The Institute for integrative nutrition and Accredited from the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
