More about Andrea D'Amore
Co-Editor of Healing Recipes
Andrea D’Amore is a health and wellness practitioner. From her recent job as a health promotions consultant to owner of Nothing But Naturals, she received her bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and Psychology from Cleveland State University, completed her certificate in Aromatherapy from the Australasian College of Health Sciences and is currently working on her personal training license from ACE. She soon plans to attend the Institute for Integrated Nutrition to become certified as a wellness coach in nutritional medicine.
After dealing with an issue regarding her own health, Andrea realized that food could be used to heal the body and since then has been interested in all things food and nutrition. She is inspired to educate people on the importance of responsible food choices and nutrition and encourages everyone to take responsibility for what they eat. She states, "Everyone should support the local food movement and consider the health of themselves, their families and the environment. When we respect where we spend our food dollars, as a whole, we can change the world." She is excited to join ATH and share the knowledge of nutritional healing as she posts healing recipes and offers tips on how to utilize the healing properties of food and herbs.
Andrea is also in the Irish Rock band Craic, where she plays the fiddle. She is also a member of the funk rock band The Mucklebuck and can be found at open mics all around her hometown of Cleveland, OH. When she isn’t busy writing for ATH or rocking the fiddle, you will find her camping or hiking with her best four legged pal, Sadie Jane, cooking and gardening or attending concerts and dancing like a fool. She is also an avid yogi, fitness buff and fan of campfires.
