Love
by Courtney A. Walsh

Do not seek to find the obstacles to love for you will daily conjure them all too easily. Seek instead to know intimately love's own habits and desires. What does love need from you to show up more in your life? An invitation, some space in your heart, recognition of what it is and what it is not? Love is not shy or bitter, cynical or jaded--it is bold and sweet by nature. It grabs life by the hand and says, "C'mon---let's play!" It doesn't hide from itself or others or dole itself out in small doses. It is a living, breathing energy that animates the soul of the world. Sometimes it arrives as a hushed and humble whisper or even as crackling silence. It can be both personal and universal. Love uplifts, inspires, transforms. Sometimes it even breaks us open and empties us so that we can receive more light. Our only brave task is to show up to greet it with open arms and willing spirits. Again and again. In every single heartbeat and breath. Love has no memory of wrongdoing or expectation of rightdoing. Love is much greater than that. It is the reason we are here. It is the ultimate mystery of grace.
