 Good News: The YWCA

Editor's Note from Carol Olson: The Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) of Richmond, Virginia USA has been serving women and children since 1887. They have worked to empower women and support children in the city of Richmond and surrounding counties. Their programs feature services for sexual and domestic violence victims such as a 24 hour hotline, a partner in the RHART program for hospital accompaniment, emergency shelter and transitional housing for women seeking escape from domestic violence and counseling for sexual assault victims. They also have a premier child daycare/school program for homeless children. The YWCA was featured on Care Advantage's "Good News" segment on Showcase Richmond with Matt DiNardo on June 16th, 2012.
